The village of Koh Pannyi stands on stilts in the waters of Phang nga Bay, among strange rocky mountains. The inhabitants here are independent-minded muslim fishermen, not "sea gypsies" as sometimes advertised. Fishisng for prawns, crabs shellfish and fish - their traditional livehood- is now supplemented with tourist dollars.
