Yay a new country!
Of the seven species of turtles, five can be found on the shores of Sri Lanka.
The project owners buy turtle eggs from the egg collectors for conservation purposes.
Last month,an island of the Northern coast of Borneo was found with sixty turtles
SLAUGHTERED for their shells. A sad day for our own conservation efforts
when Chinese and Filipino poachers come into our waters.
Thank you Dilip for this great Sri Lankan turtle card for my collection. I now have
a Sri Lankan, Nicaraguan and Australian turtle card yay! How about an elephant card
next ?? :D
