Serbian Village

A surprise visit to my mailbox from Serbia, featuring the daily motions of life in a Serbian 

village. It's a bit strange that this card got missent to Japan when my country,Malaysia,

is not at all similiar to Japan! Love the beautiful stamps on this card, I enjoyed the 2012 

Europa CEPT Thematic stamp, the theme is Tourism. In this stamp for  Serbia, it is

 Visit Nature Monastery, thank you Ivica!

Museum of Islamic Art, Qatar

 

 

The Museum of Islamic Art is a museum located in the Qatari capital Doha and designed by architect I. M. Pei.

The museum houses a collection of works gathered since the late 1980s, including manuscripts, textiles and ceramics. It is one of the world’s most complete collections of Islamic artifacts, with items originating in Spain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, India, and Central Asia. At the age of 91, Pei had to be coaxed out of retirement to undertake this enterprise. He traveled throughout the Muslim world on a six month quest to learn about Muslim architecture and history and read Muslim texts to draw inspiration for his design.

Was a grand surprise in my mailbox to see this card travelled since March,seems like it really fought

its way here by the looks of it :D 

It was missent to Indonesia (Middle Eastern cards have a tendency to be

sent to neighbouring countries haha)

Ebil, Kurdistan

The historic citadel that dates back thousand of years and is currently being restored.

Kurdistan "Land of the Kurds";ancient name: Corduene , is a roughly defined geo-cultural region wherein the Kurdish people form a prominent majority population, and Kurdish culture, language, and national identity have historically been based. Contemporary use of Kurdistan refers to large parts of eastern Turkey (Turkish Kurdistan) northern Iraq (Iraqi Kurdistan), northwestern Iran ( Iranian Kurdistan) and northeastern Syria (Western Kurdistan) inhabited mainly by Kurds.
