Inuit Art - Kenojuak Ashevak

Wow! I've never seen a mini stamp sheet like this with the
Zodiac Horse making way for the Ram. Note how much bigger the Ram
is on the right than the outgoing horse on the left. Fantastic! Thank you so much Rob

Albrecht Dürer's owl

Albrecht Dürer 21 May 1471 – 6 April 1528)[1] was a German painter, engraver, printmaker, mathematician, and theorist from Nuremberg. His high-quality woodcuts (nowadays often called Meisterstiche or "master prints") established his reputation and influence across Europe when he was still in his twenties, and he has been conventionally regarded as the greatest artist of the Northern Renaissance ever since. His vast body of work includes altarpieces, religious works, numerous portraits and self-portraits, and copper engravings. The woodcuts, such as the Apocalypse series (1498), retain a more Gothic flavour than the rest of his work. His well-known prints include the Knight, Death, and the Devil (1513), Saint Jerome in his Study (1514) and Melencolia I (1514), which has been the subject of extensive analysis and interpretation. His watercolours also mark him as one of the first European landscape artists, while his ambitious woodcuts revolutionized the potential of that medium.

Wise Patience

Artwork by Tracey Rogers
The owl has varying stories throughout the
world. For the artist, owl is seen as the Western
world saw owl - as a symbol of wisdom. Ow is
able to turn its head around and see clearly in
all directions. It is difficult to fool people with owl
medicine, however, those with owl medicine
must be careful not to fool themselves. At the
breast of this owl is an alchemy symbol which
reminds us that we can transform our lives
magically if we embrace the wisdom of the owl,
and the patience of the turtle, while creating our
new world.

Thank you Denise for sharing this exceptional piece of owl art!

Found only in Ikea, it's definitely one of the most popular range of cards.
Hoping to get the full series of this card sent to me  someday as there's no
Ikea in my city. Thank you Alexandra, a fellow owl collector:)
