Human zoo

thanks to Eurgenie from US who sends this satire art from a  Milanese artist.
It reminds me of my time buying some art cards in Florence years ago.
If you look carefully there are two versions, animals in cages or people in
cages.

For You

Pastel painting by Annet Loginova

So I was trying to make out the Cyrillic alphabet and guessing the name of the artist,
my first guess was Annet Dopinova, still some ways to go to recognise "D L G and P"
It was nice to see the artist's portfolio on the web, she does soft whimsical art that brings
a warm glow to your heart, just like rubbing a cat's belly, although I doubt my seven
cats can ever be friends with a mouse.
Thanks to Olga via PostcardUnited for this beautiful card

Snow - Liz Kazakova

What I love about Russian postcards is that there is an endless
stream of art. It's great that Russian artists have postcards as a
platform to spread their art. This card is called Snow by Liz Kazakova,
an artist I've not come across. The beast in here looks like a werewolf
minotaur hybrid. Protecting the little girl from the dragons. Wondering
what the story is behind this!!
Thank you Dmitry

Charley Harper: Eastern Meadowlark

Charley Harper (August 4, 1922 – June 10, 2007) was a Cincinnati-based American Modernist artist. He was best known for his highly stylized wildlife prints, posters and book illustrations. Born in Frenchton, West Virginia in 1922, Harper's upbringing on his family farm influenced his work to his last days. He left his farm home to study art at the Art Academy of Cincinnati, and won the academy’s first Stephen H. Wilder Traveling Scholarship.
During his career, Charley Harper illustrated numerous books, notably The Golden Book of Biology, magazines such as Ford Times, as well as many prints, posters, and other works. As his subjects are mainly natural, with birds prominently featured, Charley often created works for many nature-based organizations, among them the National Park Service; Cincinnati Zoo; Cincinnati Nature Center; Hamilton County (Ohio) Park District; and Hawk Mountain Sanctuary in Pennsylvania. He also designed interpretive displays for Everglades National Park.
Charley Harper died on Sunday, June 10, 2007 at age 84 after contending with pneumonia for some months.
Thanks to sammalinguist via swap-bot for this lovely art card.

Mozart loved Prague

Love this whimsical card of Mozart and the musical notes floating above him.
After having been to Prague I can definitely understand why Mozart was a big of Prague and even lived there for a few years. I should have taken a free walking tour of Prague but being caught in the rainiest time of the summer I had very wet shoes and miserably wet mood.
thank you Julie for the card( postcrossing.com)
