Arizona map

Arizona is the 48th state and last of the contiguous states to be admitted to the Union, achieving statehood on February 14, 1912. It was previously part of the territory of Alta California in New Spain before being passed down to independent Mexico and later ceded to the United States after the Mexican–American War. The southernmost portion of the state was acquired in 1853 through the Gadsden Purchase.
Thanks to Cecilia for this great map!

Delaware map

Before its coastline was explored by Europeans in the 16th century, Delaware was inhabited by several groups of American Indians, including the Lenape in the north and Nanticoke in the south. It was initially colonized by Dutch traders at Zwaanendael, near the present town of Lewes, in 1631. Delaware was one of the 13 colonies participating in the American Revolution and on December 7, 1787, became the first state to ratify the Constitution of the United States, thereby becoming known as The First State.
Thanks to Cecilia for this beautiful map!

North Pole, Alaska

The name "North Pole" is often applied to the entire area covered by its zip code, 99705. This area stretches between Fort Wainwright and Eielson Air Force Base, and between the Chena River and the Tanana River, including subdivisions off of Badger Road, a loop road connecting the eastern edge of Fairbanks city limits with North Pole city limits, and in the nearby census-designated place of Moose Creek. Despite the name, the city is about 1,700 miles (2,700 km) south of Earth's geographic North Pole.
The city is a summertime attraction for tourists visiting nearby Fairbanks and, due to its location on the Richardson Highway, those traveling to and from the Alaska Highway and Valdez. North Pole is home to two oil refineries, the town's major industry aside from tourism.

Haha thanks so much to Cecilia for this dear card from the North Pole, she understands
my penchant for collecting cards from places with interesting names :)

The National September 11 Memorial and Museum is the principal memorial and museum commemorating the September 11 attacks of 2001. The memorial is located at the World Trade Center site, on the former location of the Twin Towers destroyed during the attacks.
Thank you Cecilia for this piece of history.

Grizzly Bear

Grizzly Bear (Ursus Arctos)
Once there were tens of thousands of these bears in North America. Today there
are about 1,000 left in Yellowstone and Glacier National Park. They measure
over six feet (standing on their hind legs) and weigh over 1,000 pounds. Their
yellowish-brown or black fur is tipped with white, hence the name grizzly.
The bear's catch of the day, thank you Cecilia for this card :)
